In the edition of 16 November 2024 of the Antilliaans Dagblad, appeared Fausia S. Abdul, Rashid Dossett and Fariel SoeleimanOh, yeah. All three team members experiment what makes Our Heritage important to them. All three have a different Caribbean background in common and they are united on making the Caribbean diversity in Dutch society more relevant. The publication in the Antilliaans Dagblad was a big step for Our Heritage and we hope that more media attention will be paid to the Caribbean ethnic diversity of the Netherlands.

Fausia, who holds several master's degrees, stated that her main interest was in demonstrating how Caribbean women lived in colonial times and wants to emphasise the power of these Caribbean ancestors. It is also about recognising a shared history and a cohesion between the Caribbean and Dutch society in the Netherlands. She likes to do that.
Rashid Dossett, anthropologist and sociologist, from Curaçao, indicated that there was a 'knowledge gap' about the Caribbean history and community in the Netherlands. Our Heritage would contribute to closing this 'knowledge gap'.
Fariel Soeleiman, who wants to contribute to the artistic industry of her home country in the future, indicated that she noticed that there is an urge in Suriname to focus on European history, especially Dutch culture. She considers this a sin and that this is at the expense of the cultural and historical diversity of Suriname.
